Enspire Learning’s Executive Challenge Simulation Named Finalist in the 2005 Codie Awards

Austin, TX - January 14, 2005 - The Executive Challenge, an innovative leadership simulation developed by Enspire Learning, has been named a 2005 finalist in the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIAA) prestigious Codie Awards. A finalist in the category of “Best Corporate Learning Technology Solution,” the Executive Challenge is a leadership training solution used by Global 2000 corporations to develop the leadership skills of managers and executives and align their leader’s behavior with corporate objectives.

“This is a huge honor for Enspire and our development team,” said Enspire’s CEO Bjorn Billhardt, “When we initiated development on the Executive Challenge, our vision was to create a simulation that does what few training tools successfully accomplish: build the leadership skills of managers and executives. To be selected by the Codie judges as a finalist coupled with overwhelmingly positive feedback from our clients goes a long way to validate this vision.”

Enspire Learning developed the Executive Challenge in partnership with The University of Texas McComb’s School of Business. The simulation places learners in management roles within virtual corporations giving them the ability to discover their leadership “blind spots” and try out new communications techniques. Enspire released the Executive Challenge to nearly 400 MBA students in October of 2004. That successful roll-out was followed by deployments to top executives at companies including Applied Materials and Pitney Bowes.

The Codie Awards are sponsored by the SIAA to showcase their industry’s finest products and services. This year the awards received more than 1,000 nominations, a 25% increase over last year and the most ever received. Past winners read like a “Who’s who” of the software industry and include leading companies such as Microsoft, Google, Intuit, and Vignette.
