World Bank Selects Enspire Learning to Provide First Interactive Course for Macroeconomics Program

Austin, Texas - July 10, 2002 - Enspire Learning, a leading e-learning content provider, announced today that it has been selected by the World Bank Institute, headquartered in Washington, DC, to design an interactive online training course for its Macroeconomics and Policy Assessment Skills Program.

Like many other companies, the World Bank is following the trend toward greater interactivity in training in an effort to eliminate problems associated with static online content. Their decision to outsource training to interactive e-learning developer Enspire Learning is the latest piece of evidence that interactivity and engaging content is key to effective online training.

By embedding the macroeconomics management content in simulations and multimedia tools, the World Bank intends to make their online training offering more engaging and effective for economists in the field. Ultimately, this will result in better training for World Bank staff and economists worldwide.

Enspire Learning will work with current program staff to produce the course in macroeconomic management using simulated scenarios and audiovisual narratives. The four-hour interactive course addresses the effects of capital flows on developing and transition economies. The online course will launch in the winter of 2002 and will help train World Bank staff and economists in developing and transition economies.

The announcement represents a significant expansion in Enspire Learning's global end user market.
