Applied Materials Selects Enspire Learning's Executive Challenge Business Simulation

Innovative simulation to be played by Applied Materials managers this Fall; multiplayer simulation tests executive leadership and communication skills.

Austin, TX - November 24, 2004 - Enspire Learning, a leading provider of e-learning content and simulations, has announced that Applied Materials, the world's largest supplier of wafer fabrication solutions to the semiconductor industry, will deploy Enspire’s unique Executive Challenge business ethics simulation to managers and executives at a day-long management seminar and retreat this Fall. The business simulation, called The Executive Challenge, will pit teams of players against each other in a multiplayer simulated business environment.

The Executive Challenge is a multiplayer business simulation that puts business leaders in a 'learn-by-doing' simulation where players are enabled to make realistic business decisions while being confronted with difficult leadership choices and ethical dilemmas. Players must balance short term company goals with long term one and make decisions that weigh their personal objectives with those of the company.

The Executive Challenge has been developed by Enspire Learning in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin and is designed to help management teams develop critical leadership skills. It can be played by teams of 16 to 40 over the course of one to two days.
